Edition 16 of Glued & Screwed will be a collaboration between wysiwyg and First Cut.
I set off on a journey and take with me—These are the very fitting opening words to Sarah Vanagt’s deeply layered film Les Porteurs that will kick off our 16th edition of Glued & Screwed at Filmhuis Den Haag. Paired with two equally impressive short films from local makers Carmen Dusmet and Ewan Macbeth, they shape a tightly balanced program of emotionally laden films that evolve around the topic of re-enactment; as a means to revisit, reformulate and reimagine. These three transformative films will guarantee to provide a meaningful and thought provoking cadence to your Wednesday evening.

First Cut has been invited by wysiwyg to co-curate an evening of screenings under the Glued & Screwed programme at Filmhuis Den Haag.
We are seeking short films that work in, or utilise the topic of re-enactment. We see re-enactment as a means to revisit, reformulate and reimagine. Re-enactment opens up reflections around documentary and fiction, or the embodied and the faux.
We call for diverse interpretations on what it means to re-enact through film, and welcome films that stem from socio-political inquiries. Selected films will receive a screening fee for the event.
Submit your film via this Google form until 23rd February 23:59.
The open call is now closed! Sorry :)
For inquiries, please email us at screenings.first.cut@gmail.com
